Senior Associate, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek

Else Rowel is a senior associate in the financial markets regulation practice group and a core member of De Brauw's financial institutions group. She specialises in Dutch and EU financial markets regulation, in particular advising banks, insurance companies, investment firms and fintechs on a wide range of financial regulatory topics, including advice on supervisory investigation trajectories, licence requirements, governance, capital requirements, outsourcings, and fit and proper testing. Else has also gained significant experience in cross-border M&A transactions involving financial undertakings. Over the years, Else has developed an increased focus on fintech-related questions.

Her three secondments with large Dutch banks have provided Else with great insight into her clients' ways of working and perspectives. She was furthermore elected as one of Elsevier Weekblad's talents under 30 in 2020.
