Hélder Frias joined the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho in 2006 and is currently a counsel in the banking and finance department.

His practice is focused on banking, finance and insurance, advising on M&A transactions involving financial institutions, bancassurance joint ventures, the transfer of insurance portfolios and other regulatory matters related to these markets, including insurance and reinsurance intermediation. Hélder frequently advises on regulatory and supervisory aspects of financial and insurance activities (including banking and financial intermediation services and payment services), such as lending, creation of security, factoring, sale and purchase of receivables, money laundering, venture capital, financial products and investment, and retail banking and insurance instruments (capital redemption transactions and unit-linked life insurance agreements).
