Manuel Magalhães is a partner at SÉRVULO’s Finance & Governance, Restructuring & Insolvency and Real Estate departments. He has a wide-ranging expertise that includes banking, restructuring and insolvency, insurance, real estate and tourism, commercial and corporate law. He has advised on some of the most high-profile restructuring and insolvency cases in the financial sector in recent Portuguese history, being SÉRVULO’s lead partner in the legal advice provided to two major Portuguese banks in the context of their highly complex liquidation procedures. Manuel was previously a partner at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, at which he established and developed the firm’s Mozambique office, as well as its banking and insurance department in Lisbon. He is a member of the International Bar Association and of the Portuguese Bar Association.
